Kisses & Kicks

Here are your kicks and kisses for the week of March 10!

  • Many thanks to Ben and all first response crew for their prompt action and support. Great job.
  • Kisses to all in the community who contributed food or money to the Scout Food Drive at IGA Wilson Creek and IGA Gibsons on Feb. 25. Thanks for assisting us in helping those in the community who are in need.
  • Kisses and gratitude to Willow at the Starbucks drive-thru in Sechelt. You always have a kind word and a smile and it makes my day.
  • Kisses to all the amazing variety of caregivers out there.  It’s a really hard and often thankless job. Money doesn’t make this world go round, you do. And we are all lucky to have you.
  • Kisses to Lyle from Rona Appliances. My fridge quit working and I went to go look for a new one and Lyle asked what the problem was and told me how to fix it and it worked. Thank you, Lyle for your excellent customer service!
  • Huge kisses and hugs to BC Hydro workers! Power went out Feb. 28 just before 7 a.m. and was back on by 8:15 a.m. Went out again but was back on by 10:45 a.m. Your quick response during this snowy weather is greatly appreciated!
  • Thank you and kisses more than we can count to the couple in the white-ish truck with a stripe on it who rescued us helping us get in the driveway. You make the world a better place!
  • A heart full of gratitude to the people in the ambulance, the people in the Roberts Creek fire dept, and the people in Emergency for looking after my beloved bride when she fell last week. What a neighbourhood we live in!
  • Kisses to David and Chris. You made my shoveling task much shorter! THANK YOU!
  • Kisses to the two young men (Allan and Justin) who stopped on Reed Road and helped me dig out my SUV that was high-centred on the hard snow left behind by the snowplow. I made my ferry and you made my day! Coast people are the best.
  • Kisses to the grocery stores that move floor staff to the check outs during busy periods. Kicks to stores that do not.
  • Huge kisses to Joan Payne and her very smart letter to the editor. I’m not the only one! Thank you Joan.
