For the past week or so, in the qathet region, the Weatherhood and Environment Canada humidex (humidity) rating has been over 50 per cent, meaning, when temperatures on a weather app indicate 27 degrees outside, it feels like 31 degrees, which is caused by the humidity in the air.
According to Environment Canada, humidex measures how hot we feel in hot, humid weather. It is a parameter intended for the general public to express how the combined effects of warm temperatures and humidity are perceived.
Today, Wednesday, July 16, the Weatherhood forecast is indicating that currently, the temperature is 21 degrees, feels like 24, and will incrementally get warmer as the day goes on. The wind will get up to over 13 kilometres an hour today, but will calm down to eight kilometres an hour tomorrow morning.
Thursday, July 17, the temperature will rise to 24 degrees by noon and there is no precipitation in the forecast.
Friday, July 18, the temperature will be a little cooler at 19 degrees in the daytime, but rise to 23 degrees in the early evening.
Saturday and Sunday, the temperature will stay moderate at 18 degrees in the daytime.
