Here are your kisses and kicks for the week of May 23!
- An eternity of kisses to everyone that helped me during and after my terrible accident in Picadilly Park on April 29 when I fell with my dog and broke my leg in three places. Thank you just doesn’t seem enough to express just how grateful I am to you all.
- Kisses to the kind man and his son who picked up and repaired my sunglasses when I dropped them. You revived my hope for humanity.
- Kisses to the two men with their elderly mother, who, on Mothers’ Day, realized there were two women on the second floor of the hospital who didn’t have flowers. They brought us the most beautiful potted roses. Your thoughtfulness was much appreciated. – Margaret
- Kisses to everyone who participated in the May 17 Salmon Release Festival, including shíshálh Nation, volunteers, organizations and government leaders and workers who helped make the festival the biggest and best ever.
- A tailgate full of kisses to Angie, who so quickly helped me after I hurt myself at the Independent on Sunday. I will never forget your compassion and kindness!
- A farmyard full of kisses to Robin and Jordan from the Gibsons Heritage Farm on Henry Road for the generous donation of their wonderful facility for the Concert for a Cause. That “cause” is to help support the Canadian Steven Lewis Foundation’s HIV/AIDS efforts in Africa. Kisses to all who contributed to this unique event. Your generous donations are much appreciated.
- Massive kicks to the parents in Halfmoon Bay who let their children cruise around the streets and parks on dirt bikes. Not legal or safe –– go up the mountain. Parenting 101!
- Kicks to the absolute clueless hillbillies who think that our streets are OK to drive intoxicated in side by sides on public streets and our parks. Get a grip. Cops will be called next time.
- Kicks to the driver of the dark coloured SUV last Friday afternoon, May 16. Left turn lanes are not passing lanes. You risked your life and my life. You are dangerous.
- Kisses to the wonderful group of local volunteers who organized, set up and ran the 80th annual May Day in Pender Harbour! An awesome time for young and old and those in-between!
- Many heartfelt kisses to the two Sechelt EMTs who took care of me at home and at the hospital. You were amazing. Thank you. LG
- Kisses to All Coast Towing, Scott went above and beyond to help me Saturday morning. Your kindness is greatly appreciated.
