Kisses and Kicks: Kicks for panel destruction, kisses for finding lost keys

Here are the good deeds (and not so good deeds) that happened in our Coast community this week!
Kisses & Kicks
Kisses & Kicks

Here are your kisses and kicks for the week of June 6!

  • Kisses to the quilters for the outstanding show of amazing quilts.
  • A special shout out to the Gone to Pieces Quilters Group for the beautiful and generous basket I won.
  • Kisses to the Sunshine Coast Pride Festival for inviting Special Olympics Sunshine Coast to their wonderful celebration on June 1. Thanks to Adrianna and the board of directors for a well-organized, welcoming and inclusive event. We are proud to support Pride on the Coast.
  • Kicks for the destruction of a historical panel created by the community.
  • Stiches full of kisses to the SC Quilters Guild for their outstanding Quilt Show and their amazing baking donations to the Sunshine Shack tearoom at the show.  This contribution will help us continue to provide opportunities for people with developmental disabilities.
  • Kisses to the trail volunteers who repaired the crumbling, damaged, and dangerous bridge in the West Sechelt Matrix. Salute!
  • Kisses to the two lovely people working hard on a Sunday morning, washing up our Welcome to Gibsons sign at the corner of 101 and Reed Road. Thank you for making us all look good!
  • Kisses to the team at Gibsons Recycling for finding my keys in your parking lot! I’m so grateful for your honesty and kindness — it saved me a lot of stress and hassle. It’s reassuring to know there are such thoughtful folks in our community. Keep up the amazing work!
  • Huge dancing kisses to the organizers of the fabulous community Pride event at Mission Park....what a great time! Thank you for all of your hard work.
  • Kicks to those responsible for the hacking job of the trees along roadways. We are supposed to be proud of our beautiful land. Surely there is a better way.
  • A basket of kitty kisses to Dr. Simpson and the staff at Sechelt Animal Hospital for their outstanding care and compassion both before and after we lost our much loved, much missed Peeper.
  • Inclusion kisses to Mike O, Helen H, Robert W for representing SC Special O at the Pride Festival. Your display was amazing. Much appreciated.
