Here are your kicks and kisses for the week of June 21!
- A truck load of kisses and hugs to all my scheming family and friends who managed to keep my 80th birthday celebration secret. What a wonderful surprise to share the day at Chapman Creek Hatchery with so many special people.
- A big shout out to the Chatelech Secondary Junior and Senior Band members, and their teacher, Mr. Forst. The performance on Tuesday, June 13 was wonderful. You folks ROCK!
- Thank you to Evelyn and Sheena at LifeLabs, Sechelt. You turned a painful procedure into a pleasant encounter. Your smiles and your respectful, positive approach (even when overworked and understaffed) are a gift to everyone who walks through your doors. Thank you!
- BIG Kicks to the person that stole my tall teak cabinet off the side of my driveway on Chris Way. That was not free for your taking. Rude, and sneaky. Price just went up, you owe me $20.
- Kisses to Adam at Honey Do! House Maintenance for doing such great work at our house. Adam is skilled, honest and efficient and deserves to be recognized!
- Kicks to all the whiners and complainers on the Coast. Enjoy this paradise before it is lost.
- Kicks to the women who during the Sunday eve CAD performance at Ravens Cry Theatre who screamed and yelled through the whole (beloved) show! While obviously in support of your child and others, your hollering severely affected the enjoyment of those around you!
- Kicks to the dangerous drivers who have pushed me off the highway when passing at the single lane of Rat Portage bypass. Your rush to be one car ahead has almost caused a major accident.
- There are seniors living in their car in our community. Kisses to all those people who have a studio to rent or a spare room to temporarily share.
- Transit users, for many of us the daily commute is an opportunity to catch our breath before or after a long day of work. Nobody feels like listening to a constant loop of TikToks, video game noises, or whatever show you are immersed in. Please, for the love of all that is decent, buy yourself some head phones and spare us.
