Temperatures are moderating in terms of both highs and lows for July 3 on the Sunshine Coast. Environment Canada is predicting highs of 20 degrees C today in Sechelt with a dip to 11 degrees in the overnight hours. By Sunday, the mercury is expected to rise to a high of 25 degrees, and by Tuesday, 27 degrees is the point it is to top out at.
Weatherhood,is calling for a mix of sun and cloud until Sunday, when daytime temperatures are slated to see that upswing. While conditions are calm this morning, winds are forecast to increase, reach 9.7 kilometres per hour by mid-day, before scaling back again overnight.
Even with some cloud in the skies, Environment Canada is calling for a UV index reading of 8, or "very high" for today and tomorrow, so remember the sunscreen if you are spending time outdoors.
