Here are your kicks and kisses for the week of January 26!
- Kisses to the lovely people who tried to help me out with my Jeep outside Batch 44 on a cold Jan. 14 night. After all, we did manage to get my Jeep home that night (we replaced the battery), but your efforts were very much appreciated!
- Kisses to two snow shovelling angels, Joanne and Randy, who out-of-the-blue stopped their truck after seeing me shovelling my sidewalk and said “go inside– we’d love to do this for you.” So thoughtful and totally appreciated!
- Kisses to the considerate snowplow operators who refrain from plowing snow onto the sidewalk between Kiwanis Way and Gibsons Way after homeowners have already cleared their section of sidewalk.
- Kisses to Audrey at Sechelt Post office who managed to locate my cancer drugs during the snow days. Many thanks.
- Kisses to the lovely couple who once again cleared four houses’ driveways and sidewalks on Homestead Avenue during the snowfall on Jan.17. We are older folk and it was very much appreciated.
- Kicks for service interruption: where are your tire chains?
- Kisses to the bus driver who kindly picked up the lost dog during the snowstorm, kept him safe, and helped find his owners. The Coast is a very special place.
- Puppy puckers to Molly for urging her owners to take her out Saturday morning. Randy and Lori were my lifeline, literally, as they came to my rescue by attaching a tow line to my car that had become stuck on an icy incline. Thank you ever so much...Ru
- Warm kisses to all the people in Sechelt who shoveled the sidewalks in front of and beside their properties. Icy kicks to all those who ignored the safety of their neighbours and didn’t shovel the sidewalks.
- As someone whose spouse moved to the new Silverstone Care Centre this week, I want to give a heartfelt THANKS and well-deserved kisses to all the Hospital Auxiliary Volunteers who made the transition for these folks welcoming and helped them settle into their new home. Your caring, and commitment to helping people, is truly amazing!
