The Bargain Barn, the fantastic thrift store in the heart of Madeira Park also has their own fabulous website www.bargainbarnpender.weebly.com. Some of the choice items are also sold on eBay; the link is on the opening page of the website. Every dollar generated from the Bargain Barn stays in the community supporting the PH Health Centre, seniors programs and PHSS student bursaries. A huge shout out to the amazing team of volunteers who give their energy and time and in the heat of the summer season are always smiling and gracious. They make the Bargain Barn the special little thrift shop that it is. Kindly remember to bring cash, cloth bag(s) and packing if needed. Stay tuned for the upcoming fabulous fashion show.

Many local folks have mentioned they are appalled at the lack of care dog owners have when cleaning up after their pooch. The deposits should be picked up and bagged and the bags put in the garbage. We all enjoy a stroll in paradise but when the lack of care by dog owners is a highly visible, smelly obstruction in or out of the bag it is just not fitting.
