The Pender Harbour Garden Club is pleased to present Sandy Matches of Kleindale on Monday, April 8, at the School of Music, 1 to 3 p.m. Some might know him as Handy Sandy. His botanical experience is mostly self taught and learned from his grandmother. He worked as a landscape architect for three years 1994-1997 and has collected specimen plants since he was a child. Sandy will be going over techniques for container gardening including bonsai and terrarium bowls and giving away plants in the raffle prizes. Admission is $15 for 2019 membership or $5 drop in. Both include complimentary coffee, tea and goodies.

At Women’s Connection Tuesday, April 9, Edmund Arceo, designer and publisher of ZOOM magazine, will talk about his new publication called Flavours, The Sunshine Coast Food and Drink Magazine. He will share the motivation behind his new project and the challenges he faces in its development.
