We are moving into the major boating months and Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue (RCMSAR) would like to remind residents to: wear your life jacket; let a responsible person know where you are going and what time you will return; and in a marine emergency, call *16 on your cell phone or request assistance on VHF radio channel 16. Let’s have a safe season on the water.

This year the last day of school is June 27.

A Western theme has been set for the 2019 Halfmoon Bay Country Fair, so bring your cowboy boots.

The Country Fair planning has started. They are still looking for physical help on the day, July 14, and would love your support. You could earn one of the keepsake designer T-shirts: HMB Fair 2019. Please contact halfmoonbayfair2019@gmail.com.

Vendors or business interested in promoting their products can contact Lori Wishlow at halfmoonbayfair2019@gmail.com.

The Halfmoon Bay Community Association is holding its AGM June 20 at Coopers Green Hall, starting at 6:30 p.m.

To have your say at the Bay, contact me before 5 p.m. Monday at teknight@telus.net or 604-885-5034.
