Halfmoon Bay: Country Fair planning begins

The Halfmoon Bay Country Fair planning has started.

The Halfmoon Bay Country Fair planning has started. Every assistance will be appreciated, whether you would like to help on the day, July 14, or could organize vendors or advertising, we would love your support and you can earn one of our keepsake designer T-shirts: Halfmoon Bay Fair 2019. Email halfmoonbayfair@gmail.com.

The Halfmoon Bay Branch of the Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary is holding a Bake Sale on Saturday May 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Trail Bay Centre. They had a very successful Bridge Luncheon at the Botanical Garden and would like to thank their hard-working volunteers, generous sponsors and new and repeat participants. They look forward to seeing you again next year. The next meeting of the Halfmoon Bay Auxiliary is Monday May 13 at 9:45 a.m. at Cooper’s Green. Newcomers and guests are always welcome.

Calling all chefs! The Halfmoon Bay School PAC is getting ready for their Western Themed School Carnival on Thursday, May 23, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., with proceeds going to the PAC. If you make a mean pot of chili, consider entering their HMB Chili Challenge. You could be named HMB Chili Champion and have your name put on the Chili Cup. Carnival attendees will be voting along with our panel of HMB celebrity judges. Email Wendy for more information at wwhite@sd46.

The HMB Pickleball spring session will end Wednesday, May 15. Last nights are Monday, May 6 (closed May 13 for ProD Day) and Wednesdays, May 8 and 15, starting at 5:30 p.m. Racquets and balls are provided. Cost is $4 per session. For more information, email Don Cunliffe doncunliffe@gmail.com, or Tim Dayton tim.j.dayton@gmail.com.
