Jacob Roberts Photos - Jan. 14, 2017 Exhibit curator Paula O’Brien submitted her own painting Bella Anabella to the West Coast Figurative exhibit at the Gibsons Public Art Gallery (GPAG). The show features seven artists of the human form – four from Vancouver and three from the Sunshine Coast – with seven different styles of expression, medium, finish and approach from loose and brushy to quite refined – some humorous, some serious, some reserved, some colourful. The show runs until Feb. 5. “The human form interests us and we work from live models or photographs of our own making,” O’Brien said. “Most shows here are more abstract or landscapes, but because I have this unique connection to figurative artists through a website I have [www.figurativeartist.org], it’s sort of my role to bring them here together under one show.” The show runs until Feb. 5.
