Sunshine Coast weather: Clouds and chance of showers all weekend

While the weather on the Sunshine Coast might be grey all weekend, the temperature is starting to rise.

Clouds and a chance of showers are forecast for the weekend.

It will be mainly cloudy today, Friday, May 9, but with a balmy high of 16-C.

According to Environment Canada, it will remain cloudy overnight with a low of 8-C. Saturday morning brings more clouds before the Sunshine Coast experiences a 30 per cent chance of showers.

But the temperature will hit 15-C during the day with more clouds and a low of 7-C overnight. It’s more of the same Sunday, with clouds and a 30 per cent chance of showers during the day and a high of 15-C. You can also expect cloudy periods and a low of 7-C overnight.

Monday, just in time to head back to work, things heat up a little with a high of 18-C and a mix of sun and cloud and a low of 8-C overnight.

Over at Weatherhood, we’re also looking at clouds all day Friday, with a sunny break starting around 6 p.m. The temperature should hit 14-C this afternoon with a low of 9-C overnight.

The sun will set at 8:46 p.m. tonight and rise again at 5:35 a.m.

And, since it’s going to be cloudy with some possible showers, Saturday will be a good day to drop by the Emergency Preparedness Fair at the Sechelt Seniors Activity Centre, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
