Sunshine Coast Weather: Rain and smoke in this mornings skies

Weatherhood says the chance of precipitation is 98 per cent today, with clouds and smoke expected to obscure our skies for the coming two days.

Rains have arrived and are to continue in many Sunshine Coast areas.

Long-awaited showers arrived in Area A and other sections of B.C.'s Sunshine Coast Regional District yesterday, continued overnight and are in the forecast for today, Aug. 6.

According to Environment Canada, highs of 20 degrees are expected, with a risk of a thunderstorm early this evening and local smoke from forest fires visible in our skies today. Winds are to become northwest 20 km/h late this evening with overnight low temperatures of 12 degrees .

Weatherhood says the chance of precipitation is 98 per cent today in Sechelt. While clouds and smoke are expected to obscure our skies for the coming two days, the chance of rain drops to 30 per cent tomorrow and no rain is in that authority's forecast for Friday.
