Sunshine Coast Weather: Heat and haze to continue

Those planning to travel by road to the B.C. interior are reminded to check DriveBC for up to date road conditions. Portions of the Coquihalla Highway were closed as of Sept 3, due to the Mine Creek wildfire.

Summer sees Sunshine Coast sunflowers

A slight moderation in daytime high temperatures is what Weatherhood is expecting for the Sunshine Coast today, Sept. 4. The mercury is expected to top out at 23 degrees C today with the mid-20's heat expected to stay with us until Sunday, when top readings in the high teens are called for. 

A few clouds today with increasing levels of cloudiness over the coming days is in store for our area, according to Environment Canada. Hazy conditions are forecast for to continue, but the as of 7:30 a.m. the Sunshine Coast remains outside of the area's in Southern B.C. under an air quality warning due to smoke from wildfires.  (Impacted are sections Metro Vancouver, Fraser Valley, Interior and northeast B.C.)
