Warm temperatures, with daytime highs of 26 degrees C today, Sept. 3 and highs of 24 degrees for Thursday and Friday is what Weatherhood is calling for on the lower Sunshine Coast. Overnight lows are predicted to hover in the 16 degree range until the weekend.
Both of those readings are above what Environment Canada reports as the average for today, which is a high of 21 degrees and a low of 13 degrees.
That authority is calling for haze to filter into what will be mainly sunny skies today and tomorrow. It predicts cloudy skies for the area as of late Thursday, and for a mix of sun and cloud continuing through the weekend, with an 60 per cent chance of rain on Sunday evening.
Today's sunrise arrives at 6:33 a.m. and sunset reaches our area at 7:55 p.m.
