Buying or selling homes can be overwhelming and stressful, but Coast Lifestyles Network makes it harmonious, advantageous and beneficial for everyone.
Real estate continues to be a west coast obsession – the hot conversational topic at bars, brunches and water coolers everywhere. And thanks to the internet, people can educate themselves long before they decide to buy, sell or invest in a house. That means REALTORs® like Russ Qureshi are dealing with an entirely different kind of client to the individuals and families they helped a decade ago. “Folks who are coming to us these days aren’t babes in the woods. They’re highly educated and have a good idea what they’re looking for,” Russ says.
So how do Russ and his team at Coast Lifestyles Network (marketing whizz Ria Qureshi, and Terri Murphy, REALTOR® and Home-Buyer Specialist) add value to their client’s experience? They draw on personal service and decades of local knowledge and expertise in the Sunshine Coast real-estate market.
“We have the regional expertise – we understand everything about the real-estate market here – how it fluctuates on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, plus anything that’s coming down the chute from local, regional and national governments such as zoning changes, new taxes or levies or even changes in rules for local strata properties,” Russ says. Then there is the personal relationship with clients. “During an initial consultation with a seller, buyer or investor, we drill down and find out what that person or family needs from the transaction over and above how many bathrooms and bedrooms and negotiate a win-win for the client. Meeting those needs is our role,” says Russ.
Thanks to Ria’s expertise, properties are marketed through every channel, on and offline, and Coast Lifestyles Network also has the advantage of being part of the Royal LePage Sussex family, a network of REALTORs® that covers the whole of the Sunshine Coast and Vancouver.
Russ and Ria chose to raise their two children on the Sunshine Coast and are happy to support the local community every way they can. Coast Lifestyles Network raises funds for many local charities including Gibsons Public Art Gallery, Gibsons Rotary Club and the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation. On a personal level, Russ is passionate about Japanese martial art aikido and says its philosophy is surprisingly compatible with real estate. “Aikido is fundamentally about creating harmony from conflict – that encapsulates what I do in the dojo,” he explains. “Real estate can be adversarial, but my goal is to make harmonious outcomes that benefit both sides of a transaction. If I can create those trusting relationships with clients, I’m doing my job, and I’m doing the community a service, too,” Qureshi says.
