Hilton and her team advise customers on all the nuances of a mattress so that meeting the Sandman is seamless. They’ll ask customers how they sleep – on their sides or back, for example – what their ideal mattress size is and explain the components: coils, memory foam or other types of foam.
“We’ve got a good assortment of mattresses on the floor for the customer to come in and lay on to see what their comfort level is so we can fit them with the right mattress,” Hilton says.
The Stearns & Foster line in particular is like the Rolls-Royce of mattresses – a name brand that ensures a quality sleep from a quality product. Ghost beds, aka the bed in a box, are also a new addition.
“We just got them in and they are very popular,” Hilton says. “They’re great for the person who doesn’t want to have it delivered and would rather just take them right out the door as is. It can usually fit in their vehicle to take home and they’re very comfortable and convenient to buy.”
As for appliance packages, think of washer/dryer combos, fridges and stoves or dishwashers and ventilation needs.
And whether you live in a house or you’re a building manager finishing a suite, these packages can likely be delivered within a few days.
“I’ve had customers walk in here needing different types of full appliance packages and we’ve got it,” Hilton says. “We can assist someone in putting a full package of appliances together in a hurry.”
Sunshine Coast Appliance and Mattress’s delivery area stretches from Egmont to Port Mellon, encompassing a huge swath of the Sunshine Coast. If an item isn’t in store, that delivery can typically be made in two or three weeks.
“After deliveries we always tend to get call backs on how awesome these guys were, how much care they took and how great they were with getting things in place and hooking everything up,” Hilton says.
