I am deeply saddened by the letter from Gordon Politeski (Coast Reporter, Feb. 5). Unfortunately, it represents the zeitgeist of politicians the world over, and has done for too many years. Mr. Politeski's communiqué fully encapsulates the immature rancour that is demonstrated in parliament buildings whenever we have the chance to witness democracy in action.
There are one or two exceptions to the general rule and they are known by the actions they perform and the words they do not say.
