I am writing to express my appreciation to Glen Bonderud, former chair, and Tom Pinfold, former vice-chair, and all the other directors of the Sunshine Coast Community Forest for their many years of dedication and commitment to our community. These volunteers have worked long and hard to build a community forest that is a model for sustainable practices and professionalism.
Whether it is well paying jobs in the forestry industry, financial contributions to numerous community endeavours in all areas of the Coast, or the many other activities undertaken, there is absolutely no doubt that the Community Forest has been a success. And this success will continue to accrue to the benefit of the residents of the Coast over the next 15 years.
I encourage others to take time to express their appreciation to the volunteers and the hardworking staff of the Community Forest.
