Each year, you will find our local Rotary Club members selling our “homemade” lottery calendars in our local malls.
If you’ve ever wondered why Rotary sells calendars every year for $20, when every bank and auto shop gives them out for free, here is the answer.
Since 1993, the four Rotary Clubs of the Sunshine Coast have produced a beautiful, full-colour calendar with local photographs providing thousands of dollars to support local projects. These calendars are also lottery tickets, as there are prizes every day ranging from $3,000 on Jan. 1, $250 on special days, and $20 for every other day of the year. Your chances are about one in seven of being a winner!
Also, with the proceeds being gains from a B.C.-approved lottery, every dollar must be spent locally. As a result we will raise over $20,000 to help fund local projects from Gibsons to Pender Harbour. So, think how your $20 multiplies into big money to help improve our lives here on the Sunshine Coast; find us in your local mall and purchase one of our beautiful calendars.
We also invite you to consider joining one of our friendly clubs and participating in our local and international projects. Come and chat with us about Rotary membership as well.
