What water shortage?

Letters

Editor:

Water shortage on the Coast? Who are you kidding?

In the last three months we have had enough rain to last us for two years, except that it is running straight back into the ocean where it comes from.

One would think that by now our local politicians would have figured out that our problem is not lack of water, but retention of water. However, they seem to be too busy playing political games. Rewiring brains takes energy.

We have now spent millions of dollars on water meters and with millions more to go this way. Meters don’t make water! Building structures to retain water does.

After years of talk and coming up with the wrong solution for the taxpayers it is time, I think, for these politicians to pick up their bags. Make place, please, for people with the leadership skills to solve problems and move forward.
