Other than a few sunny days, over the last few weeks we have had a lot of rain. Several storms, which were accompanied by thunder and lightning, were unusually heavy and probably dropped more water on the Sunshine Coast than could be used for agriculture and domestic consumption for the rest of the year. Unfortunately, most of it ran into streams and rivers and ultimately into the ocean, which will leave us short of water for the summer. Sechelt council and the SCRD have a solution, though. Water meters.
