Kudos to the SCRD for offering a rebate program for water catchment systems for all those on SCRD water. Hopefully all of those who have been whining about the lack of water on the Sunshine Coast will take advantage of this program and sign up for the program. A 1,000-gallon container should fill off a roof in a week, providing enough water for next year’s veggies. Install two containers and you will really be set. Ensuring sustainable water supply is the responsibility of all of us: local residents as well as governing bodies. This program aids both.
