Use bike lanes properly

Editor: Why is it that cyclists have an allergy to using the bike lane on Redrooffs Road in Halfmoon Bay? They ride on the travelled portion of the road where there is not even a shoulder, pulling their kids in buggies, etc.

They ride on the travelled portion of the road where there is not even a shoulder, pulling their kids in buggies, etc. Taxpayers obviously paid for the bike lane, and bikes go in clumps of five or six riders on the north side, when the bike lane is on the south side.

I have asked this question on two occasions of riders, and they look at me like I'm from Mars.

Do we need a sign? Blinking lights? Spike belts? There are already "bikes" painted on the bike lane. I don't get it. These riders are being very irresponsible, and putting themselves in danger, not to mention motorists trying to get around them.
