I wonder if someone can explain to us all this “security” nonsense at the ferry terminal that seems to be more uptight every year.
New Year’s Eve day I locked my bicycle inside the ferry terminal to bus into Vancouver for the night, only to find a nasty letter stating that I was not allowed and that next time my lock would be cut and the bike placed outside the fence unlocked. How friendly and encouraging to the biking community! How can BC Ferries consider an inanimate hunk of metal and rubber to be a danger, especially in a peaceful little seaside community? I would also love to hear the rationale on disallowing vehicle parking along the highway, which is disappearing farther and farther along 101 in both directions.
