What a refreshing and uplifting article about Clare Lyle in last week’s Coast Reporter (“Elphinstone grad selected for Rhodes scholarship”). With media filled with what’s bad about the world, we can overlook that there are many outstanding people and organizations working on making our world and communities better places.
Wow! A Rhodes scholar! Elphinstone Secondary and the Gibsons community can take some credit in that they provided early support to Clare, who has so much to contribute in whatever research she’ll pursue. So much talent can be released when people are well supported. Congratulations, Clare Lyle!
