The promise of Trellis Group “holding its own community session on Sept. 19, from 5 to 7 p.m.,” as stated in the Sept. 16 Coast Reporter, ended up being an evening showcasing the ability by Trellis to do damage control by controlling the number of people who enter at one time and doing just about everything else to deflect, avoid and bypass the questions and concerns of those in the community.
Trellis had the evening running like a well-oiled machine. And, I believe with sickening dread, Trellis will build. Why, you ask? Because of the apathy I witnessed by those who turned out. People waiting in line to register, being told what time they can enter, waiting in line again for entry. I entered without registering or waiting for a time. For Trellis to do an about-face and then expect me to bow down to their demands – no way. I challenged others to follow suit and was met by puzzled faces. Oh yes, Trellis is smiling and congratulating themselves on their success in manipulating, oops, managing us. They will build and we will come.
