Traps not wanted, or needed

I am writing to show my support for a trapping bylaw in Sechelt.

Through petitions, community meetings, participation at District council meetings and more, it is clear local residents believe that lethal wildlife traps are cruel and dangerous.

Sechelt should provide a safe recreational experience for all of us and not cater to a few individual hobby trappers.

I urge all councilors to honour democracy and to listen to your constituents, not the BC trappers Association.

The leg-hold, Conibear and snare trap are simply not wanted or needed in our community.
