Time to move on

Letters

Editor:

They say that timing is everything, and I believe them, whoever they are.

There’s The George Hotel monstrosity. There’s the Eaglecrest development, and there’s Gospel Rock. All of them will be coming on line very soon. Eagleview Heights will create traffic snarl on Eaglecrest that will destroy the relative quiet of our street. Gospel Rock will turn Shaw Road into a traffic nightmare. And The George Hotel monstrosity will ruin the ambience of Lower Gibsons. It should not be there.

What has this got to do with timing, you may ask. Well, on Sept. 11, a big moving truck will come to our place, where they will load our possessions, and will head south to a warmer, sunnier, and quieter place.

I have lived on the Coast for 29 years, and my wife Edith has lived here 20 years. We have loved our time here, on the Sunshine Coast, but it is time to move on.

We wish all our friends and neighbours a fond farewell – and yes, timing is everything.
