The bridge is here

Letters

Editor:

The time has come, the bridge is here,

The village gone, it’s very clear.

Welded well to city shore,

Suburban now, forever more.

Swallowed up by city crowd,

Traffic fast, incessant, loud.

City towers rising high,

Insulting vista to the eye.

Unique it’s not, it’s just the city,

Paved and grey and hard and gritty.

Advice for all I have this day:

Pack your bags and move away.
