The following letter was sent to the District of Sechelt and copied to Coast Reporter:
Dear mayor and council:
Following my recent request to the parks department of the District of Sechelt concerning a clean-up operation needed along the boulevard after the severe storm of a few weeks ago, this letter is to express my sincere thanks for a job well-done.
Apart from the damage to the sea wall, (another matter) - with the heralding of spring and summer, it is now again a pleasure for the citizenry to enjoy their leisure hours along this special gem we call Sechelt. It was particularly noticeable that tidying-up also included the many areas of the commemoration plots and seats along the water front that had also taken the punishment Mother Nature visited upon us.
I feel sure that the relatives and friends who placed them there would also appreciate the concern given to these very special parts of our town.
