Recently I participated in this years Kayak Challenge hosted by Halfmoon Sea Kayaks (also known as Adventure Outfitting and Coastal Adventures) located in Sechelt.
I missed the 2008 challenge and was determined to do the 2009 one. I wasn't disappointed. I had a great time and met a lot of nice people.
We're asked all the time to support our local businesses, which is a great idea, and in the long run benefits all of us. Halfmoon Sea Kayaks gives back to the community in spades.
At substantial cost in both money and time, they provided us with expert guides and on many occasions food and beverages at their own expense. I don't know of any other business owners on the Sunshine Coast, or for that matter anywhere, that extend themselves to the community as much as Cam and Shannon have.
Congratulations to Cam and Shannon. I'm looking forward to next year's Challenge.
