Re: District votes down Davis Bay highway widening (Coast Reporter, Sept. 3).
Thank you to the District of Sechelt council for voting down the left turn lane that was being considered at Highway 101 and Davis Bay Road. Is there any prospect of having atraffic light installed as previously planned at that intersection? If a trafficlight were installedtogether with a controlling pressure plateon Davis Bay Road motorists would beenabled access tothe highway withoutlengthy delays.
It would be usefulif some of the monies that had been earmarkedfor this project could be spentinthis manner.
