For all BC Ferries’ faults that are so often featured in the paper, I must say the service my aging mother received today was second to none.
I called the number as advertised on their website to book a wheelchair for a sailing from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale. The customer service representative was extremely cheerful and helpful, and within minutes the service was booked.
My mother arrived at the terminal to find a wheelchair ready and another cheerful member of staff to wheel her to the waiting room and onto the ferry.
At the end of the trip she received the same service to get her off the ferry and up to the pickup area. I met her and the extremely cheerful and polite young man who was pushing her.
My mother was extremely impressed and happy with the entire experience.
