Editor: A vote for STV is not a vote for computerized voting.

Ballots can be cast and counted by hand just as they are now. The total number of first choice, second choice, third choice...votes that a candidate receives can be counted manually and reported plainly for all to see. Those manual counts can then be entered into any personal computer for the final tally to be determined. No special machines are required. The formula used for the final calculation is public. This means that anyone can re-run the calculations on their own PC or calculator to verify the Election BC results. In short, the STV vote counting process is completely transparent, accountable, and verifiable despite all suggestions to the contrary.
