Stunned by death letter

Letters

Editor:

I was stunned by last week’s letter from R. Giza (“Purveyors of death”) regarding Syd Valentine, which so arrogantly discounted Ms. Valentine’s own wishes regarding the manner of her demise. It’s unfortunate that Giza’s impressive writing skills are being exploited for such a questionable purpose. His/her letter brings to mind a saying originally directed at those who attempt to have their “deeply held religious beliefs” incorporated into the legal framework of their societies: “There is nothing left of which we can say to them, ‘Mind your own business.’ Our whole lives are their business.”

George Kosinski, Gibsons
