Re: “More than 200 march in Coast Pride parade,” Coast Reporter, June 24.
How wonderful that so many responded to the opportunity to march for Pride. Being straight, I can be a proud ally of the LGBTQ community, and I call upon all people to stand up against hate whenever and wherever it rears its ugly head.
In the aftermath of the shooting in Orlando there can be no more room for silence, for love is love, and it is love – unconditional, compassionate, accepting love – that will create the best world for all of us to live in together.
