SSC plan hasn’t changed

Letters

Editor:

We appreciated Coast Reporter’s coverage of our project in last week’s edition (“Minor changes for SSC include 8-storey switch”). To further clarify one of the important messages it contained, we would like to point out that our proposal to include up to four eight-storey buildings was part of the original development plan we submitted in January 2016. We want to ensure your readers understand that we have not made any changes to our proposed plan since that time.

When approved by council, our plan will define specifically how we will be permitted to develop our site. We remain eager to hear from the public at a public hearing, and to have the zoning application approved, so we can begin building what we expect will be North America’s most sustainable community.
