At the last Sechelt council meeting, Coun. Noel Muller announced he will not be running for re-election in the upcoming municipal election. I am sorry that Coun. Muller will not be representing the residents of Sechelt any longer. In attending several council meetings in the last few months I have noted that he clearly loves his community and has the same values as many of the residents of Sechelt. He supports incremental growth and responsible development that doesn’t overwhelm the character of existing neighbourhoods. He opposes over-height buildings and development that detracts from the natural beauty of this area. These are issues of great importance to many Sechelt residents.
I would like to thank Coun. Muller for his service to our community. He has proven that he listens to the concerns of residents and gives us a voice in the decision making.
Coun. Muller has indicated we will have a chance to vote for him in future but unfortunately not in the municipal election this coming October. I wish him well in his future political endeavours. He can count on my vote when the opportunity arises.
