Are you enjoying the World Cup of soccer? If so, then now is the time for action. Now is the time to demand from your local politicians more and better-maintained soccer fields.
We need more soccer fields in Roberts Creek as Cliff Gilker is grossly over used. How about two fields in Wilson Creek up Field Road possibly? We also need a year-round synthetic turf complex anywhere on the Coast where kids can practise in the fall and winter without trashing the fields. There are about 2,000 of us involved directly or indirectly in soccer on the Coast. That's huge!
Soccer is cheap: a $20 pair of boots and your kid is on his/her way to the 2022 World Cup.
Get involved, be vocal, and be heard.
