Cheers to all the residents who followed the Gibsons bylaw and cleared the snow from the public sidewalk in front of their homes this past week. Jeers to the residents of eight homes in the 800 block of O’Shea Road who did not clear the snow from their sidewalk (despite some even clearing only their driveway!). O’Shea Road is a heavily used road. People, many elderly, walk this road all day long – to and from the Christenson Village Care Home or Sunnycrest Mall. Many people were forced to walk in the middle of the road. I also did not meet any sick or disabled people in those eight homes!
