My Christmas shopping is done and has been since November. Again I bought the majority of my gifts in Sechelt (and made many gifts as well). As a matter of fact, most of my family and friends (spoiler alert) will be receiving books bought this summer at the Sunshine Coast Festival of the Written Arts.
I love the thought of keeping the money we earn in our community. I challenge readers to take a walk down Cowrie Street, from one end to the other, and check out the funky little shops or drive to Gibsons and peruse the stores there. Or drive to Madeira Park. There may be an interesting find for someone in your family.
Go for lunch. Make it an outing. Enjoy our Coast as others from “off Coast” do. Use your imagination, shop locally. It benefits us all!
