Today I was bike riding with friends and some of them were talking about an arranged upcoming shopping day in Vancouver. It wasn’t so much that there were goods unavailable on the Coast but rather the social experience of a day or two in the city.
Please! There is no reason to go to Vancouver for a shopping experience! If you must, go and window shop and look at the nice light displays and yes, even go out for lunch, but then come home and shop locally. The Coast businesses are the ones who support your hockey teams, soccer teams, baseball teams, arts programs, cycling events, food banks, and more.
These are the businesses that we want to succeed. Year round.
Think before you spend.
