It’s perfect timing for MP Pamela Goldsmith-Jones to announce funding in support of the proposed Marine Education Centre at the Gibsons Public Market. Now that her government has approved an LNG facility in Howe Sound and nearly seven times as much oil tanker traffic in Vancouver Harbour, we need a few cubic metres of protected space for marine life more than ever.
