It was interesting to note that the neighbourhood association at Eagle Ridge was able to have the Eagle Ridge development proposal sent back to the drawing board for modification. It is perfectly understandable, if you have a house with a view, even a room with a view, to wish to retain it. Hopefully, this neighbourhood will do so.
Meanwhile, in Lower Gibsons, so many householders will lose their views once the tall hotel is built there. This hotel proposal did not get returned for modification in the same way as the Eagle Ridge proposal has been, despite its controversial nature.
With more tall buildings likely to be built, with flagrant disregard of other view householders along the shoreline towards Soames, perhaps Gibsons will become a twin town with Waikiki Beach?
