Editor:
So who are these two purveyors of death that come out after dark in our community in their black hats and cloaks and make their house calls? And what is the government book fee for physicians to kill their patients? The savings in long-term care cost put them in a strong bartering position. Your juxtaposition of these two stories is clearly not unintentional, the implication being that this may be the answer to our aging demographics and shortage of care facilities. This sort of talk is still not quite acceptable in public discourse. Isn’t it striking, though, how the radical changes in legal social norms of the last few decades materialize with little public airing? It’s a brave new world and not one that I would have voted for.
