Potholes costly

Letters

(This letter to the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTI) was copied to Coast Reporter.)

This short note is to inform you that the garages love you, however, I can’t say the same for the public. We, whose vehicles are subject to the potholes on the highway, particularly at the Pratt Road intersection, are feeling the “clunks and thumps” where none should be.

Next, we’ll be feeling the lighter purse as we dish out dollars for vehicle repairs caused by dropping in and out of highway potholes.

We really try to be good citizens as we dish out the dollars (taxes) each year to pay MOTI to care for our roads. Seems someone is not holding up his part of the bargain.

Should we now send repair bills to the ministry for reimbursement? Maybe we should ask for a refund, or a credit due at the year’s end.

Vel Anderson, Elphinstone
