Please leave my library alone

Dear Premier Campbell:

I am asking that the grant money that the public libraries receive not be cut. I totally disagree with stealing this money from the libraries. There should always be an incentive to get people into libraries, whether taking out books or whatever the library offers. I personally use the library a lot. We do not have a large income and the library offers us many of the things we would otherwise find a hardship. We take out lots of books, not just for reading stories, but also for doing things that would require taking some kind of course. The library is a very valuable resource and it appeals to a great cross section of people, perhaps some of the people who might not be at the Olympics.

Not everyone is interested in the Olympics. I resent money for my library being stolen to feed the huge hole of money being poured into the Olympics. It has taken years to have our Gibsons library open for even six days a week, not to mention the limited hours.
