In response to last week’s headline that Mayor Milne is considering running again for mayor, I respectfully say this: Please Mr. Milne, for the sake of Sechelt, do not run again for mayor. You have served your time and we need a more visionary, more progressive leader at the helm.
Take a page out of Mayor Wayne Rowe’s book that said, “If you stay too long you run out of things you want to do and you spend more of your time justifying what you’ve done rather than looking at more creative ideas.”
There’s your exit strategy – for the good of Sechelt, enjoy your retirement and go graciously.
